Fantastic property. Better than expected. Many bedrooms to choose from, two TV living room areas. Small kitchen but that did not matter, many patio areas and a fabulous ovate pool with sun shade and open terrace. Newly renovated and so beautiful quality and cleanliness. the owners are very very nice and helpful, lovely to deal with. the only problem we had was the address gave us another Antica Forte 200 km to the west. So make sure your map shows the villa near Cortona. All in all a lowly place and highly recommended.
This villa is stunning! It is beautifully decorated and very nicely updated, but still has loads of charm. The views are spectacular. It is also in a great location. Easy to get to the highway and not far from Florence, Sienna, and San Gimignano. The owners on property are very sweet and helpful and speak excellent english. We were so sad to leave!
This is a stunning place. Extraordinary views, amazing wildlife (the garden was FULL of fireflies), beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It takes a bit of finding - the road up the mountain is steep and wiggly - but the view across the valley is worth it. The housekeeper, Nicoletta, is great. We were greeted by vases of fresh flowers and bunches of herbs and she made us feel welcome and looked after. The pool is saline filtered, so no nasty chemicals and the garden is very pretty. Beds are comfy and amenities all work well. Highly recommended.
Podere Pievina is a beautiful property in an ideal location for those who want to experience life in Tuscany. The villa has been renovated and decorated to celebrate and maintain the character of this 18th century farmhouse while also providing very comfortable and generously appointed accommodations. The week spent at Podere Pievina was very relaxing and is an ideal spot for those traveling with children. The highlights included cooking homemade pasta with the owners as well as time spent getting to know the two horses that call Podere Pievina home. The graciousness, generosity and kindness of our hosts made the experience that much more amazing.
No sign at the road. The peoplle there are not in formed and have no documentation available abour the way to the apartment. The apartment on the first floor has no balcony during the day (to much sun0, the apartment is good, but dark during day time, no easy chairs to dit in in the kitchen. Beautifukl surrounding and swimming pool.
Homely, spacious, clean and comfortable apartment with hosts who were very welcoming. The pastries left on our patio on the first morning were very welcome, and delicious. The view from the property, up and down the valley, is stunning, the swimming pool was great, and there was even a calf born in the barn next to our apartment while we were there. You cannot get a more authentic farm stay than that! It's an easy train ride to Florence. We will definitely be going back.
