Wunderschönes Setting und sehr gepflegt und romantisch. Manko: Zufahrt über lange Schotterstrasse (45 min bis zum Supermarkt). Mir war ein Reifen wegen der steinigen Straße geplatzt und stand 4 Tage ohne Auto da. Vermieter sehr freundlich.

We stayed here with 6 adults and one 7 year old. Over all we had an okay time. We visited in mid-July and temperatures were between 80-99 during the day and 70-80* at night. Not having A/C was pretty uncomfortable The property manger and house keeper who are on site to help were very nice and friendly. They helped us anytime we needed it. And they brought us more fans but even with fans sleeping in that heat was difficult. Cooking in a hot kitchen with three fans going, was also difficult. We knew going into the rental there would be fans, we were told the ocean breeze would make the evenings pleasant but with the mosquitoes, cockroaches and lizards we were not comfortable leaving all the windows and doors without screens open to share our space with the wild life.
The photos are definitely outdated, we were slightly disappointed when we arrived as the house is in fact not the same as the photos. The photos make the house appear a lot nicer than it is. The house is due for a major remodel and upgrade.
The area is extraordinarily remote. There is 1 little bar (with decent espresso, cappuccino etc and lovely proprietors) that’s walking distance (literally around the corner from the house). There is a very lovely beach also within a short walking distance to the house as well. The town of Porto Pino is 1 mile which is a nice walk if you’re able. But this town has two tiny bodegas and 4 places to eat out, all of which book up with reservations quickly so take note to plan ahead. The area provides quick accessibility to the south western islands and south western coastal line but only if you are prepared to do a lot of driving. The area is rustic and undeveloped, which does offer its own special natural beauty to it. Being a party of 7 with limited food options and a kitchen that really isn’t set up for cooking every meal was difficult for us.
The area beaches are very nice as well but you do need a car to visit them.
This is a place where Italians and Europeans adventure to, this is an Italian and Sarda speaking area, if you don’t speak the language you may have a hard time navigating.
Sadly, if we came back to this part of the world with our big family, we wouldn’t come back to this town or this house. We could see myself adventuring to the south western part again but still sadly wouldn’t recommend this house to anyone.

Ligging huis is centraal, weinig toeristen. Tuinmeubilair is alleen geschikt voor het eten. Geen relaxstoelen om even lekker in de tuin te zitten (was slechts 1 aanwezig voor 8 personen). Bij warmte is het huis te warm van binnen. 1 mobiele airco aanwezig kon de capaciteit niet aan en maakte heel erg lawaai. Bedden waren slecht, tevens 2 slaapkamers met stapelbed wat niet geschikt is voor kinderen vanaf 12 jaar en dit staat niet duidelijk op de website aangegeven. Keukengerei heel oud en incompleet. Zwembad was goed en werd netjes onderhouden. Host was verder vriendelijk en doen er alles aan om je verblijf aangenaam te maken en geven veel tips over de omgeving. Ik vond het huisje te duur voor wat je krijgt.
Prachtig huis, ruim en compleet + smaakvol ingericht. Unieke, rustige ligging op een berg met fantastisch uitzicht en heerlijk zwembad. Eigenaresse Elisa woont naast het huis en is leuk en behulpzaam. Wij huurden het hele huis voor 10 personen en bevelen het op die manier absoluut aan. In plaats van airconditioning zijn er ventilatoren, de slaapkamers boven werden (in juli) wel erg warm (rond 28 graden). Een auto is onmisbaar en de weg naar het huis toe is uitdagend.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Beautiful house, spacious and complete + tastefully decorated. Unique, quiet location on a mountain with fantastic views and lovely pool. Owner Elisa lives next to the house and is nice and helpful. We rented the whole house for 10 people and absolutely recommend it that way. Instead of air conditioning there are fans, the upstairs bedrooms did get very hot (around 28 degrees in July). A car is essential and the road to the house is challenging.
Die Unterkunft war schön gelegen (vor allem nahe eines Hundestrandes) und es gibt auch Abendprogramm und ein kleinen Supermarkt. Allerdings ist beides eher spärlich.
Die Unterkunft an sich war sauber allerdings konnte man keinen Hausmeister erreichen (somit hatten wir kein WLAN und keine Klimaanlage Nutzung)..auch die wegbeschreibung, da kein richtiger Strassenname war nicht einfach. Beim Anrufen um den Schlüssel zu erhalten wurden wir von einem zum anderen gereicht. Fazit: schön aber muss nicht noch mal.
Wat hebben we 3 weken lang genoten hier!
Een gezellig rustiek appartement met lekker veel ruimte binnen en een mooi groot en schoon zwembad met genoeg bedjes en parasols.
En Luigi is echt een hele vriendelijke man. Bedankt Luigi voor alles!
An outstanding place to stay in Tuscany! I am so happy we chose to rent this property….three weeks in the summer was a bucket list fulfilled….to live for a bit in Italy, not just a night or two here and there. The property is better than the pictures show. A very old villa, extremely well maintained. We had 11 kids and grandkids the first week, 7 the second week, and 4 adult couples the third week. Ample room, large enough kitchen, great unique bedrooms, the pool was very well used and enjoyed every day. Owners Sonia, Mirco, and Debra were very accessible, took care of minor issues when they occurred, were so very helpful and made our stay very special. The nearby town of San Donato was very cool…medieval streets and buildings, three great restaurants, a cafe for coffee in the morning or gelato later in the day, walking distance from the Villa…..very cool. Also a smallish COOP food store….think small grocery store but with cheeses, meats, produce, wine….all you need ….although we did head to nearby Poggibonsi a couple of times to shop at a truly large grocery with many more choices. Highly recommend having a rental car as we used it often to visit nearby towns, many winery visits, and trips to the Airport to pick up and deliver our guests. Thank you Debra, Mirco and Sonia. Rustikale geräumige Unterkunft in sehr ruhiger Lage. Sehr solide Bausubstanz. Zugang ebenerdig, Terrasse und Garten vor der Tür. Direkter Zugang zum Wanderweg nach Castelfranco. Mückenmittel nicht vergessen. Zufahrt über Schotterstraße. Freundliche, unkomplizierte Vermieter.
