We were the only people on the property so they were able to raid the other apartments. My complaint is that other than the olive oil and wines that were stocked for a price, we would have appreciated some basic stuff, like salt and pepper and maybe enough coffee for the next morning. We arrived late afternoon and there was nowhere to procure these things without making a trip to the village which we were in no mood to do after a long journey all the way from Rome. If we had been told in advance that there was basically nothing there, we would have planned accordingly. Surely these few things could have been provided considering what we were paying. Some paper towels would have also been appreciated. We decided to leave a day early because my mother is disabled and thought we should spend the last night at a hotel near Florence airport. I asked about this several days in advance but was told that it was not possible because the owner had already been paid. I can assure you nobody was waiting for our suite. We are not rich and a refund for one night would have defrayed the cost of an expensive hotel. I would hesitate to recommend the property unless some of these issues could have been resolved. The rooms were spacious and the views from the patios were excellent. Good linens and the ladies were nice enough to procure a microwave for us. We were the only people on the property so they were able to raid the other apartments. My complaint is that other than the olive oil and wines that were stocked for a price, we would have appreciated some basic stuff, like salt and pepper and maybe enough coffee for the next morning. We arrived late afternoon and there was nowhere to procure these things without making a trip to the village which we were in no mood to do after a long journey all the way from Rome. If we had been told in advance that there was basically nothing there, we would have planned accordingly. Surely these few things could have been provided considering what we were paying. Some paper towels would have also been appreciated. We decided to leave a day early because my mother is disabled and thought we should spend the last night at a hotel near Florence airport. I asked about this several days in advance but was told that it was not possible because the owner had already been paid. I can assure you nobody was waiting for our suite. We are not rich and a refund for one night would have defrayed the cost of an expensive hotel. I would hesitate to recommend the property unless some of these issues could have been resolved. The rooms were spacious and the views from the patios were excellent. Good linens and the ladies were nice enough to procure a microwave for us. We were the only people on the property so they were able to raid the other apartments. My complaint is that other than the olive oil and wines that were stocked for a price, we would have appreciated some basic stuff, like salt and pepper and maybe enough coffee for the next morning. We arrived late afternoon and there was nowhere to procure these things without making a trip to the village which we were in no mood to do after a long journey all the way from Rome. If we had been told in advance that there was basically nothing there, we would have planned accordingly. Surely these few things could have been provided considering what we were paying. Some paper towels would have also been appreciated. We decided to leave a day early because my mother is disabled and thought we should spend the last night at a hotel near Florence airport. I asked about this several days in advance but was told that it was not possible because the owner had already been paid. I can assure you nobody was waiting for our suite. We are not rich and a refund for one night would have defrayed the cost of an expensive hotel. I would hesitate to recommend the property unless some of these issues could have been resolved.
