Ancient villa dating back to the 14th century situated in Lucca surroundings. This villa used to be the hunting house of Paolo Giunigi, a member of a noble family who governed the city of Lucca from 1400 to 1430. During the past years this property was restored preserving its original architectural features and its ancient materials such as the terracotta-tiled floors, the beamed ceilings and the beautiful frescoed walls. The villa is quietly situated on a hill side facing south and offers splendid views over the surrounding landscape. The interiors are furnished in a rustic style with some antiques (the bedrooms are simpler furnished, all of the bathrooms have been recently renovated). The outside areas provide a large, partially shaded terraced garden, a beautiful pool and an ancient lemon-house turned into a charming covered terrace. This property is only 55 km away from the renowned seaside resort of Forte dei Marmi and is ideally located to visit the Versilia coastline area with beautiful beaches, famous restaurants and nightlife. Within 80 km there are beautiful art cities such as Pisa, Florence, San Gigminano, Volterra.
The access to the property is via un unpaved road not suitable for low cars.
