The village is a short walk and is a nice little village with a small square with a co-op for basics and a couple of small bars. For a quite night, this is the place ! Some very nice old towns nearby without he need to go all touristy to Volterra. Montecatina Val De Cecina was nice with a nice restaurant on the square. Enjoy. The family that owned the villa were very friendly, accomodating, and helpful with our day-to-day plans. I HIGHLY recommend taking the cooking class that they offer, it was a blast! Girasole was large, clean, and had a spectacular view of the Tuscan countryside. I only wish that we had come a weekend later when the pool opened. Nice pool area with steps at the end for little kids to get in and out. Make sure you tell Elisa the day before for things like steak night as we didn't and could not therefore join in. The village is a short walk and is a nice little village with a small square with a co-op for basics and a couple of small bars. For a quite night, this is the place ! Some very nice old towns nearby without he need to go all touristy to Volterra. Montecatina Val De Cecina was nice with a nice restaurant on the square. Enjoy. The family that owned the villa were very friendly, accomodating, and helpful with our day-to-day plans. I HIGHLY recommend taking the cooking class that they offer, it was a blast! Girasole was large, clean, and had a spectacular view of the Tuscan countryside. I only wish that we had come a weekend later when the pool opened.
