Along the Chianti's road, on the hills of the Arno Valley, the small country village "La Forra" offers 8 apartments and 3 double bedrooms divided into 3 buildings, which have been renewed enhancing the original structure, adding on the "old-times style" all modern facilities and comforts.
Comforts that you'll find also in the restaurant which, thanks to the typical Tuscan kitchen will make you known ancient values and flavours. Guests will enjoy wonderful holidays in "La Forra": it's located in the very middle of the countryside and, at the same time, close to the most beautiful and historical Tuscan cities as Florence and Arezzo (40 min.), Siena and San Gimignano (1 hour).
The farm LA FORRA is located in the middle of the Chianti, surrounded by oaks, chestnut trees, healthy pine trees and wonderful olive trees; it faces one of the most beautiful valleys of Tuscany, the Arno river valley.
The peculiar orographic conformation of this land suggested the farm's name "Fattoria la Forra" and the restaurant's name Borgoforra .
The name Forra comes from the Longobard word "Furha" meaning steep ditch caused by water erosion or land subject to landslides covered by bushes and shrubs.

Our Riding Club is ideal for countryside and horse riding lovers who wish to spend a great time in close contact with nature. For children, practicing people or riders who wish to improve their technique, we are able to book equestrian lessons by F.I.S.E. certified instructor.
For expert riders we offer guided horse journeys.You can bring our own horse or rent one of our animals.
A private chapel is available where is possible to officiate weddings.
A swimming-pool (14x5 depth 1.10/3.5) open from 15 May to 15 October and a tennis court are at your disposal. Computer with Internet connection available free of charge in the reception.
