From the village of Castiglion Fiorentino, with its shops and services, following the suggestive road that crosses the entire Val di Chio and climbs the wooded hills and represent the natural border between Tuscany and Umbria, you will arrive at a small cluster of houses set on the slopes of the hill and overlooking a beautiful wooded landscape. The last stretch of road, about 200 m, is unpaved and sloping. La Casa del Nonno is a small, old stone house that is part of this original rural settlement once inhabited by farming families. Here you will find guaranteed peace; lazy summer days by the pool and in the solarium enjoying the sun, without hearing any noise except those of nature.
A careful renovation has brought La Casa del Nonno back to life. Rustic style furniture, old beams on the ceilings, the old fireplace in the living room, give it a warm atmosphere reminiscent of times gone by, when the house and the open fire were the shelter of the farmers after a hard day's work.
The house will be your own little nest, well-finished, comfortable and cosy and will immediately give you the feeling of being welcome.
In front of the house there is an outdoor area arranged on natural terraces connected by steps, completely fenced and equipped with garden furniture, barbecue and a small house with laundry. For your exclusive use there is also a beautiful swimming pool (size 6x4 m, depth 1.20 m - open from 1 May to 30th September), with a panoramic view and equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and sunshade.
For your open-air dinners in the summer evenings, the owners have organised a special corner on a terrace in the garden, equipped with a wrought iron table and chairs and covered by a large parasol.

Restbeløbet forfalder 45 dage før ankomst.
For reservationer i sidste øjeblik (indenfor 45 dage før ankomst) skal det fulde lejebeløb betales på tidspunktet for reservationen.
I tilfælde af afbestilling af reservationen, selvom den erstattes af en anden, gælder følgende sanktioner:
- det indledende depositum (25% af den samlede leje), hvis afbestillingen foretages mellem bookingtidspunktet og op til 46 dage inden ankomst;
- 100% af den samlede lejepris, hvis afbestillingen foretages fra 45 dage til ankomstdagen eller i tilfælde af ”no show”.

Leuke plaats, zeer afgelegen, veel privacy, zeer goed onthaald. Geen grote luxe in het huisje maar niet nodig als de zon schijnt zit je toch buiten, buiten is alles perfect verzorgd. Wij gaan zeker terug. Perfect voor een koppel, perfect voor de hond want de tuin is volledig omheind. Zeker een aanrader!

Siamo stati nella Casa del Nonno la prima settimana di luglio 2023. Luogo incantevole, silenzioso, isolato, con un panorama splendido sulle colline adiacenti. Il mio scopo era riposarmi e praticamente non sono mai uscita dalla struttura, ma volendo si possono fare comode escursioni nella vicina Cortona o Arezzo. Il grande giardino è completamente recintato e il mio cane è stato libero ed in sicurezza; è ad uso esclusivo così come la piscina. Abbiamo trovato la casa fresca nonostante i 30 gradi. Molto areato e piacevole ho trovato lo spazio dove c'è il tavolo, subito davanti ad una delle entrate della casa, sia per i pasti che per leggere. La casa è su due piani quindi ci sono scale. E' distante dal paese e dai supermercati circa 25 minuti in auto, quindi bisogna organizzarsi per fare la spesa. La proprietaria è allo stesso tempo disponibile e discreta.

Heerlijk huisje met prachtige tuin! Inrichting binnen is basic en vooral de tuin is goed voorzien van tuinmeubilair, fijn zwembad, parasols en ligstoelen. Het uitzicht is fenomenaal. Laura is ten allen tijde te bereiken bij vragen. De omgeving is zeer rustig en mooi. Leuke dorpjes in de buurt met fijne restaurants en mooie dorpskernen. We hebben het heerlijk gehad!

The interior is basic and especially the garden is well equipped with garden furniture, a nice swimming pool, parasols and deck chairs. The view is phenomenal. Laura can be reached at all times if you have any questions. The environment is very quiet and beautiful. Nice villages in the area with fine restaurants and beautiful village centers. We loved staying here especially the peace and beautiful birdsong. The property would be improved if the owners left a short outline about things like rubbish, recycling, how things work in the house.
